It is your dog and nobody can keep you from seeing him or her. However, we do NOT recommend visiting your dog during the Board and Train program as it can sabotage the training or cause setbacks and we want to help you and your dog to succeed. The owner visiting the dog can create too much distraction and excitement for the dog at a time when the dog is learning about calmness and self-control. Our Board and Train program is NOT the same as simply boarding your dog. It is an intense training program that requires not only that the dog do a lot of work, but also that the owners be very committed and be supportive of the trainer during the training process. In our Board and Train program, dogs learn new skills, and good manners. They also "unlearn" inappropriate behaviors. In many cases these behaviors were learned as a result of improper upbringing, handling, or because improper behaviors were unknowingly reinforced. Board and Train is not just about training the dog, but also about educating the owners. At the very end of the Board and Train program, owners receive detailed instructions and education about canine behavior as well as hands-on training experience. |
